Week 2

This week the puppies did what puppies do best....eat and sleep and GROW!  The puppies are now all 2 lbs or more and gaining steadily.  They can stand up on all fours and take a few steps.  To find their mom, they air scent and then motor off in her direction.  Their eyes are just beginning to open.  They emit little puppy barks which are adorable.  They continued with the Early Neurological Stimulation exercises, had their first visitors and added TTouch to their daily regimen.  I am doing mouth, ear and tail work with them.  This is another way of helping their nervous system to develop to it's fullest potential.  They've had their nails trimmed and I also manipulate each foot and toe daily to accustom them to those sensations as well.  This is a very snuggly, cuddly litter, settling down quickly when held.  Overall they are handling the ENS exercises very well.  They are mellow and relaxed as I handle them in the various positions.
