Week 8 - So much to Learn!

The puppies are growing up!!!  I can't believe how big they have gotten in 8 short weeks.  They started out between 8 and 11 oz.  Now they are between 10 and 13 lbs!!!  I should have kept tract of all the food I've fed them.   I wonder how many pounds of meat they've consumed!

This week we worked on clicker training for eye contact.  They all figured it out very quickly how to make me click and treat.   We also have started collar and leash training.  It's unanimous among the puppies that collars itch like heck!  LOL.  But everyone can walk with a leash now and is starting to understand the constraints that can involve.  The pups had their health checks today and they all got a clean bill of health.  They got another car ride out of the deal and are doing well with the crating and traveling.

As for diet, new items this week were whole rabbits and chicken thighs and drumsticks.  These little carnivores are just going to town on the raw diet.  And yes, they handled those bones without problems!

Today I set up a low A-frame, short tunnel and teeter board with one end on the ground and the other about 4 inches high.  The pups explored all these new things with ease.  They have much more challenging obstacles in nature and these seemed pretty tame apparently. 

Socialization continues with several sets of visitors during the week.  The puppies are not fussy.  They basically mob everyone they meet!
